The VTCT Level 2 Award in Skin Tanning Techniques is designed to give you skills in both spray and manual tanning treatments. The units of study are:
- Monitor Health and Safety
- Client Care and Consultation
- Tanning Treatments - Spray and Manual
This course is completed over 1 day. The majority of this time will be spent gaining and learning practical techniques to carry out the treatments in the salon working on real clients. You will learn different tanning techniques and use various products as well.
There is also a theory content to ensure that you have the underpinning essential knowledge for each unit.
Home study is required to ensure that you meet the necessary criteria through our Online Classroom OlivElearn and some study will be required prior to the start of the course.
This Course is fully accredited by VTCT - Vocational Training Charitable Trust, is a Government-approved awarding organisation.
Requirements: You will need to attend in a Salon Tunic and Trousers.

Skin Tanning Techniques L2 Award VTCT
This course is ideal for those wishing to start out as a Tanning Expert and/or build on existing level 2/3 beauty skills, or if you are a makeup artist wishing to expand your techniques.
Throughout the course you will be assessed by a combination of short assignments, tests and practical assessments of your work; and will compile a portfolio of evidence.
There is no kit requirment but we recommend that you purchase equipment to allow you to practise at home - your tutor will discuss this with you at the start of your course.
This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications
